The Kitchen Reno
The Magic:
Situated in one of the longest-standing towers on Sheikh Zayed road, this kitchen was dated, narrow, short on storage, and lacked adequate lighting. It stood in stark contrast with the rest of the light & airy 3BHK duplex apartment. The client approached us with a desire to bring her dream kitchen to life – little did we know the challenge of this full-scale renovation. Step 1 was creating a larger space by demolishing the wall between the store room and the kitchen. Step 2 was breathing new life into this space, and the client’s requirement of infusing color into the kitchen served our vision well – we wanted a vibrant and inviting kitchen that would complement the beautiful jewel tones in the house. The client wanted a small breakfast island for her young family, which required careful spatial planning to ensure the movement flow was unobstructed as the space is so tight. The vision for this kitchen is a modern farmhouse; brass accents complimenting soft greige tones, a hint of traditional pattern, a bold pop of color, feature pendant lighting, and the most important thing every kitchen needs - plenty of storage space!
